Haven't had the chance to play in a while, but I'm eagerly anticipating the coming competetive mode. Not sure how I feel about golden weapons and if/how they'll clash with non-default skins, on top of being a bit too garish (for the want of a better term) for my tastes.

Finished the ten placement matches for competitive mode. Won five, lost five. One loss was after an awesome defend in Kings Row and when put on attack, Reaper told the group his mother is forcing him to go eat Gladly I was bit by karma and in the last match 5/6 of the other team left after a succesful attack in Gibraltar.

This 5:5 ratio granted me ranking of 45. I wonder how much does own performance weigh in after being on the winning/losing team.

Tried competitive mode as well, did 6 matches so far, and 50% win/lose as well.
somehow it feels like pulling teeth, and not like something I might enjoy.

to sum it up... I would stick to quick play where things are more or less mostly fun.

P.S. as every game where you have to cope with other gamers you sometimes find them perfect idiots. the "GG EZ" comments are typically annoying. I tend to answer to them with how much i revere them as they are the most epic players every, and how i'm not worthy to be in their presence, but it is still aggravating.

so all in all, I now think it is fun to play, but i also think it will suffer from pro gaming issue, which will make it very hard for the casual players to enjoy.

It will probably have a shorter lifespan for me then i initially thought.
